A Kid's Hope Story... Mr. Steve found a creative way to help Sarin express his feelings. He challenged the fifth grade boy to write letters to some of his favorite people and companies. So Sarin told the workers at Frito Lay that their Hot Chitos were his favorite (he received a coupon from them). He told the Campbell Soup people that four cans of their chicken soup cured his flu. Athlete Kikki Barber sent him an autographed picture. But Sarin was disappointed by the response from the governor of his state. After telling the governor that he was doing a good job, Sarin observed that such a long school year gave him stress and could the governor shorten the school year? He was excited to get a response but disappointed by her refusal to cut the school year. |
